Holidays in the Dolomites:
you can’t get more of an adventure playground than this

An experience that stays with you

If you’re looking for parties, clubs or a buzzing nightlife, the Hotel Gasthof Stern in Deutschnofen isn’t your place. This charming South Tyrolean village on a wide mountain plateau is small, peaceful and authentic. Instead, it’s a dream destination for those who want to truly feel nature – deeply, intensely, and with all their senses.

Our Top 6 activities

Summer

The meadows and forests around Nova Ponente offer plenty of room to relax, explore and recharge. And for those craving more adventure, the Dolomites – a UNESCO World Heritage Siterise just beyond, at over 1,300 metres above sea level. The dramatic towers of Latemar, the mighty Rosengarten massif, the turquoise Lake Carezza, the twin peaks of Schwarzhorn and Weißhorn, and the ancient rock layers of the Bletterbach gorge all await discovery.

In summer, hikers, climbers, and cyclists – whether on a mountain bike or a road bike – will find one of the most exhilarating outdoor playgrounds in the Alps.

Winter

In winter, adventure is just as close. The Obereggen ski resort, one of the largest and most scenic in the Dolomites, lies right on our doorstep. With around 50 kilometres of slopes, there’s something for every skier and snowboarder.

Prefer to move at a slower pace? The sunny Reggelberg plateau surrounding Deutschnofen is a paradise for cross-country skiing – peaceful, scenic, and utterly refreshing.

And if you’re in the mood for city vibes: the South Tyrolean capital of Bolzano, with its boutiques, cafés, museums and historic sights, is just a 30-minute drive away.

It’s something you should experience!

“We belong to the Terroir.”
