Holidays in the Dolomites:
you can’t get more of an adventure playground than this

An experience that stays

Those who take their holidays at the Hotel Gasthof Stern in Deutschnofen are not looking for hustle and bustle, or for extravagant nightlife in discos and clubs. The typical South Tyrolean village on the wide plateau is too small and too tranquil for that. Instead, it is all those who want to feel nature – and feel it intensely – that get their money’s worth here.

Our Top 6 activities

Summer

Already the wide meadows and forests around Deutschnofen offer plenty of space for relaxing, walking and hiking. Those who like things more demanding and spectacular can go into the mountains of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites, which lie at your fingertips here, at over 1300 metres above sea level: the battlements and towers of Latemar, the massive block of the Rosengarten, the turquoise of the Lake Carezza, the twin peaks of the Schwarzhorn and Weißhorn, or the wide-open geology book of the Bletterbach gorge. In summer, hikers, climbers, mountaineers and bikers (whether that’s on the saddle of a mountain bike or a racer) will find the largest adventure playground there is here.

Winter

In winter, with Obereggen, we have one of the most extensive and beautiful ski regions in the Dolomites right on our doorstep. With around 50 kilometres of slopes, every skier or snowboarder will find something for his or her taste here. But for those whose dimension is the horizontal, a beautifully scenic cross-country skiing area is open to them on the high plateau around Deutschnofen.

By the way: even if Deutschnofen is too small for shopping trips and nightlife, the South Tyrolean capital of Bolzano, with its shops and restaurants, museums and sights, is actually only half an hour away.

It’s something you should experience!

“We belong to the Terroir.”
